GLASS COMPANY S.r.l., in close collaboration with leading manufacturers of latest generation laser sources, has developed a new generation of laser machines for straight and shaped glass cutting, with filamentation technology that can also cut large glass sheets, as well as a laser for drilling and shaped cutting even on large slabs, but limited to a useful working area of 100x100mm. The latter is particularly interesting for making cuts of any geometry, for hinges, circular, square and any other geometric shape.
Thanks to the advanced technology of the laser sources used and to a dedicated software, various solutions have been developed for cutting monolithic glass up to 25mm thick.
The cut is perfect and without chipping and is suitable for the tempering of the glass, as can be seen from the photo.
Cutting and drilling glass in the absence of water is a very important and highly anticipated goal for all flat glass producers.
The laser source used has a very low electrical consumption, has no tools and the tolerances are respected indefinitely as the laser beam has no wear problems.
The life of a laser source is very long, it can exceed 25.000 hours and has no limitations of use, a laser source can work 24/24 hours without requiring any adjustment or tool change.
The laser cutting and drilling of glass is suitable for multiple processes to be performed both on the edges of large glasses, or to make technical cuts starting from small glass sheets, eg. 650x500mm, with a useful working area of the Galvo head of 100x100mm, or even in larger dimensions with Beam technology while maintaining high precision on dimensions and cutting quality.
For the particular laser technology used, the laser cutting and drilling machines are designed and manufactured on specific customer request to adapt perfectly to their needs.
