2020 has been declared the Year of Glass by the United Nations. The culture of chemical tempering will equally take shape and position within the glass industry. Limited only to the small thicknesses of glass intended for electronics and optics, chemical tempering broadens horizons, thanks also to the diffusion work carried out by R.C.N. SOLUTIONS S.r.l., and it becomes important also for higher glass thicknesses. Chemically toughened glass is much more robust and impact resistant than thermal toughened glass but then needs lamination to remedy sharp pieces in case of breakage and thus make it safety glass after the lamination process. Chemically toughened glass has no optical distortions, so it maintains the layout, making it suitable for coupling with another glass to pass into lamination. Since 2017, the year in which RCN launched, in collaboration with an expert in the sector, the CT RIVA by RCN line, the interest in chemical tempering has also significantly increased in sectors such as automotive, nautical and architectural glass. Alongside the dimensions of standard ovens, RCN is able to customize according to the customer's production needs.
