The new range of Fully Automatic edging machines by Bovone's meets the automation needs of the glass industry to achieve high productivity rates and high and constant quality of the finished product.
Bovone develops these two aspects of production by acting on three main levers:
- AUTOMATIC COMPENSATION OF WHEEL WEAR
The motor spindles mounted on motorized slides regulate the heights of the spindles in a fully automated way, compensating for the wear of the grinding wheel. The user interfaces with the software through an intuitive and easy to understand HMI.
The automatic adjustment operates on the basis of three distinct parameters:
- the linear meters of worked glass,
- the level of electrical absorption of the spindles,
- the combination of the two parameters
- WHEEL CHANGE ALERT
Replacing the grinding wheel at the right time allows you to make the most of the tool, obtaining and maintaining the high quality level of the finish. Alert's new acoustic and visual system warns the operator of this very aspect.
It allows to reduce the number of interruptions and frees up the evaluation on the advisability of changing the consumable while keeping the quality level of the edge constant.
- FAST WHEEL SETUP
At the right moment, the operator, duly notified by the acoustic and visual alert, starts the wheel change procedure from the screen: the spindle, in this way, automatically lowers, leaving the operator the space to replace the wheel in a comfortable and easy way. Once the operation is completed, the grinding wheel is positioned at the correct height in a completely automatic way.
To facilitate and further improve the machine set-up procedures, Bovone has equipped the software with predefined recipes that enable the operator to quickly start production and easily pass from one batch to another.
The entire Fully Automatic range can be integrated into fully automated BRS di Bovone robotic systems, particularly suitable for automating the grinding processes of large slabs.
