New BOVONE plant for Jumbo glass lamination serves the ambitious industrial renewal plan of a major Italian glass shop

Currently nearing completion at Bovone's facilities is a new line for the lamination of jumbo glass sheets (3.000 x 6.000 mm) for a major Italian glass shop  that handles projects and orders of great complexity and is particularly dedicated to the construction sector, supplying jumbo sheets for the construction of curtain walls.

The project, which will soon be delivered and assembled at the customer's new plant, adds to the many references Bovone can boast in glass lamination processes, and consolidates its role as a reference partner for those glassworks aiming at innovation and production optimization.

References have played a key role in this order: the glass shop, in fact, already being a Bovone customer with the purchase in the past of some straight-line edging machines, has renewed its trust in the company, entrusting it also with the technological support for lamination processes.

Reliability, productivity, versatility, finished product quality, automation and modularity are the key aspects of Bovone's laminating lines. Thanks to their careful design and quality construction, Bovone's lines require minimal maintenance, allowing for greater operational continuity and maximizing the company's productivity. The new line, intended for a large space in the customer's new plant, is equipped with integrable modules for loading and unloading, sheet washing, and glass-foil assembly, with the innovative HRC hybrid ovenAs in any other Bovone line, by virtue of the modular configuration, the customer has the possibility to add or replace the different modules with great ease, taking advantage of great production flexibility, in the immediate term, but also in anticipation of possible future upgrades

Bovone's innovative HRC hybrid oven, with which the line is equipped, integrates the two heating systems - forced hot air convection and radiation - to better manage the lamination of different types of layers: especially in construction, new materials have been introduced that give laminated glass better characteristics of resistance and selectivity. The ability to switch, with great ease from one heating mode to another allows the glassworks to process this variety of interlayers, using the most suitable heating system. In addition to its high versatility, the HRC oven optimizes heat distribution ensuring excellent layering results and reduced consumption.

This large line is intended to sustain very demanding work cycles. On the other hand, Bovone also designs and builds compact lines for those companies that, with the same production commitment, do not have large areas and therefore need to optimize space: the new compact laminating line goes precisely in this direction, maintaining the levels of quality and reliability for which Bovone lines are appreciated worldwide.

Stay tuned to Bovone channels for upcoming technical insights on this important order.
