“Creating added value” is the central theme of the stand with which HEGLA, HEGLA-HANIC e HEGLA boraident they recur to Vitrum after the break imposed by the pandemic. As an exhibit, we will be showing ProLam LSR, the laminated glass cutting system which has become a successful innovation with its laser diode heating. HEGLA managing director Bernhard Hötger explains it well: “The targeted heat input on the cutting profile speeds up the cutting process for even greater productivity”. “The surrounding edge thus remains cold and this systematically reduces the risk of delamination and at the same time enables subsequent cuts to be made without waiting times,” adds Hötger.
By now nearly half of ProLam LSR units are shipped with optional diode heating. The new technique is used above all in solutions in line with two cutting systems and high automation, where it is possible to fully exploit the potential of several cutting tables connected to each other, improving the cycle time. The diode laser system, thanks to the short activation times, saves energy and, with at least 20.000 operating hours, is cheaper than the classic radiant heater.
