More than 30 years have passed since the prototype was made FRANCESCA FC 8M 1000, the first numerically controlled drill in the world. Today the model FRANCESCA FC 16 M 1250 HO represents the synthesis of the most advanced technology applied by FORVET S.p.a. to drilling and milling operations and can boast, compared to the original model, 35% less overall dimensions, 30% weight savings thanks to light alloys, 30% energy savings and 25% increased productivity.
The maximum drilling diameter is 70 mm: larger diameters can be performed with the milling operation. The work cycle is completely automatic, without the need for any manual adjustment. The numerical control requires the operator only the diameter of the hole and its coordinates: the approaching and working strokes to the glass are automatically calculated, the speed of advancement and rotation of the spindles, the amount of water and the recovery of wear of tools. The Francesca range can be equipped with the optional AIR system which allows vertical loading and unloading of the sheets.
The FRANCESCA models that integrate the Waterjet technology combine drilling technology with diamond tools with water jet cutting technology, both managed by a single numerical control. The two production principles interact without limiting each other, and complement each other by taking advantage of each of the other's pluses, expanding production capacities. For example, the water jet will not need to switch between two pressures to perform the preliminary breaking through the thickness of the glass, since for this phase it will be able to exploit the drill and then start the cutting movement, leaving the pump to work with only one. pressure, reducing pump wear. Also in this version the loading, positioning, processing and unloading operations are completely automated.
The specialised farming model FRANCESCA FC 32M 3300 it is the only NC machine capable of loading, processing and unloading two plates at the same time, without any manual intervention. With FRANCESCA FC 32M 3300 it is possible to process a large slab with a maximum width up to 3300mm or two slabs with a maximum width up to 1600mm each. The machine is equipped with 32 tools installed on 4 rotating heads that operate simultaneously, independently or in conjunction with each other, obtaining a drastic reduction in the production cycle time. Thanks to its extreme speed and the possibility of working two glasses at the same time, it eliminates the classic deceleration of the process that is instead found in all traditional machines, due to the grinding phases. The number of machines currently working all over the world is the clearest proof of customer satisfaction.
