It is a symbol of transparency, with an area of 550 square meters
The transparency of glass can be seen as a metaphor for the transparency of political life, of public administration, of the participation of the state in the life of citizens, and perhaps this was the inspiration for the construction project of the spectacular dome of the Austrian National Council.
Construction work has been completed as part of the renovation project for the 140-year-old Parliament Building.
In the future, the dome will provide daylight to the plenary hall: in the event of excessive brightness, the windows are designed to darken.
The dome has an area of 550 square meters: through it it is possible to see the course of the day, the seasons but also the walking visitors.
