And it is precisely on the LYNX, a numerical machining center that the design team has concentrated most of its efforts to guarantee customers three new optionals. LYNX is one of the most appreciated and sold machines by the Lovati group all over the world: it is a CNC equipped with two electro-spindles and two sliding work tables for simultaneously grinding and polishing two glass plates.
The first optional foresees that the machine, thanks to the use of the supplementary axis C and the group of aggregates, can carry out the chamfering, the incisions and the cutting with a saw with extreme precision and speed. The bevel is polished with an automatic cerium oxide spray system.
The second option includes an automatic grinding wheel dressing system, a mechanism fixed to the tables which allows to obtain a perfect grinding every time and to avoid wasting time by the operator. The dressing stones may differ in thickness, depending on customer requirements.
The last option provides, thanks to the use of a special pen, to be able to write and draw with extreme precision on the glass surface.
