Lancôme and Brioni choose recycled glass containers: a greener perfume

Nowadays we talk more and more often about making more ecological and environmentally friendly choices.
It also happens in the cosmetics sector, in fact several luxury brands have oriented themselves towards eco-sustainable choices, always maintaining great attention to the aesthetics of their products.

Lancôme is the French luxury perfume and cosmetics company that recently presented and launched a skincare product in a 40% recycled glass container.

The Lancome product (Serum Absolue) is contained in a recycled glass bottle, made of Verre Infini 40, a Verescense brand, a French company specialized in glass containers for cosmetics.

Verescence is eager to become the global benchmark in the sustainable cosmetics sector, to achieve its goal it launched a new project at the end of November.

After its Verre Infini 40, the French glass manufacturer Verescence presented a new glass composition: Verre Infini 20.

This new compound is formulated with 20% PCR (polymerase chain reaction) glass with a tint that has been refined to meet the aesthetic needs of luxury brands.

Verre Infini 20, the new partial PCR glass grade launched by Verescence, is formulated to offer an aesthetic closer to that of extra flint glass. Production of the new compound debuted last September at the glassmaker's plants in France and Spain.

Verescence plans to gradually expand production of Verre Infini 20 to the United States in the first quarter of 2022 and to South Korea in 2023.

From Verescence they let it be known that they have invested more than 1 million euros to adapt their ovens to the production of recycled glass, which also contributes to the reduction of our CO2 emissions (5% less emissions).

In Italy too, several companies are attentive to the ecological impact in the field of luxury.
An example is Brioni, a high fashion brand in menswear that launched its Eau de Parfum Intense in collaboration with Lalique Group.
This essence will be distributed using sustainable recycled glass packaging.

These are just two examples of how luxury fashion brands are showing more and more attention to the environment, adapting their production methods to the green revolution and supporting the idea of developing increasingly eco-sustainable industries.
