Commenting on the position made public by GIMAV - Italian Association of Suppliers of Machines, Plants, Accessories and Special Products for Glass Processing, the President of VITRUM Dino Zandonella Necca declared: “The protagonists of the glass processing technology industry, preferring VITRUM at GLASSTEC in 2021, they wanted to reiterate the need to preserve and strengthen VITRUM worldwide against opportunistic speculations that have nothing to do with the normal promotion of products in the various fairs ”. Thursday 15 October, GIMAV has published the official note that is attached to this press release with which he wanted to make known to the entire international community in the sector, that the Italians will not participate in the Glasstec edition postponed by the organizers from 15 to 18 June 2021.
Recalling that Italian technology suppliers are among the main protagonists of the event which usually takes place in Düsseldorf in even years and that in 2018 they filled halls 13 and 16 occupying over 10.600 m2 net, we cannot fail to rejoice for the reason that, by their own admission, the following was decisive in the decision not to participate in Glasstec: “Do of VITRUM the only international event really able to enhance the excellence of the Made in Italy sector, showing the machines, but also the technological applications and products that are made thanks to our technologies.
