Vitrea Milan, open until August 22, is an exhibition of contemporary glass that hosts works created by international artists, by great master craftsmen, set up at the Milan Triennale.
It is organized with the collaboration of the Cologni Foundation for Art Professions and is curated by Jean Blanchaert.
Vitrea presents the best contemporary artistic productions that represent the Italian mastery in the working of the author's glass.
On display are a selection of over 60 designer glasses created by thirty-six Italian and foreign artists, artisans / artists and designers, who entertain a relationship full of suggestions with Italian glass.
The works presented are an expression of the numerous applications of glass, the great inventiveness of artists and designers and the extraordinary skill of the craftsmen.
Each work is different in the technique used, function and poetry that they give to visitors.
Vitrea offers great contemporary creativity in the production of glass, allows you to discover the infinite potential and facets of the glass material.
The message that Vitrea want to leave is to preserve and promote so that art crafts still know how to speak the language of contemporaneity.
Vitrea is the second project in the Mestieri d'Arte & Design cycle. Crafts Culture which offers an unprecedented point of view on contemporary applied arts.
