From the sheet to the finished product: quality control according to Deltamax Automazione

In the world of insulating glass production, quality isn't just a promise: it's a necessity. And when it comes to quality control, Deltamax Automation It offers a clear, coherent, and comprehensive vision. Not a single device, but a suite of solutions that can be installed at different points along the insulating glass production line, all sharing a common thread: ease of integration, modularity, and ease of use.

GlassInspector: The era of quality control on double-glazing lines begins.

Our GlassInspector was first installed in 2007. Since then, this system has become a benchmark for those seeking reliable, fast, and non-invasive inspection. Often referred to simply as "the scanner," GlassInspector is designed to detect visible defects on transparent glass, even those with low light transmission, without the need to modify the existing line.

Installation is quick, maintenance is limited to cleaning only; the simple and streamlined graphic interface allows for use by any operator. Bubbles, inclusions, stains, scratches, fingerprints, breakages: anything that could compromise the appearance and quality of the glass is identified in real time. The system is effective even on low-E glass, flagging defects such as gaps or abrasions on the treated side.

Qplus: when you need more precision

Alongside GlassInspector, Deltamax has developed Qplus, an advanced system that sets a new standard in quality control for insulating glass. While the former detects clearly visible defects, Qplus takes inspection further, identifying even low-contrast imperfections that limit current vision systems on the market: halos, suction cup marks on laminated glass, and roller marks on tempered glass.

Thanks to advanced image processing, Qplus locates defects on the plate and automatically classifies them into predefined categories, with the option to adjust acceptance parameters for each type. The result is intuitively displayed via a color scale (green, yellow, red) that indicates the extent of the defect. This advanced, customizable control system is designed to adapt to each customer's production environment.

IGU Scanner: The final inspection, where every detail counts

Once the production cycle is complete, our IGU Scanner, designed for finished product inspection, goes into action. The system analyzes the entire insulating glass unit, whether double, triple, or quad-pane, detecting any defects such as inclusions or bubbles, as well as surface dirt, scratches, or traces of butyl.

But the analysis doesn't stop at the glass. The IGU Scanner also checks the position of the spacer frame, flagging any misalignments or imperfections in the application. When integrated into a line with adequate conveyor systems, it's also possible to verify the correct placement of the mullion bars, comparing them with the technical drawings for a complete aesthetic and functional verification.

One line, three technologies, one philosophy

GlassInspector, Qplus, and IGU Scanner aren't just tools: they are three complementary solutions that accompany the sheet throughout the entire process, from raw material to finished product. Their strength lies in their modularity and ability to adapt without structural changes to the line. The result is more comprehensive, integrated, and effective quality control that reduces end-customer complaints and provides greater peace of mind for operators throughout the production process.
