Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City is a sprawling project on a 681-hectare site in the southern part of Surat in Gujarat, India.
DREAM City is an area designed for one integrated urban development. A residential hub that has opened its doors to a green future, characterized by a sustainable system which includes, among other things, renewable resources and waste management based on a concept of reduction, recycling, reuse and recovery of materials.
The main entrance of DREAM City is a huge futuristic and modular infrastructure, where the glass, protagonist main, has contributed to creating a natural connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, in particular thanks to the implementation of STRATO® EVA Extra Clear, a film mainly used in the lamination of safety glass, known for its aesthetic and high-performance characteristics.
The building consists of both double laminated curved glass with 170 mXNUMX of STRATO® EVA Extra Clearor by laminated flat glass with 700 m² di STRATO® EVA Extra Clear. An engineering project, a combination of two different modular laminated glasses, perfectly applied on natural wood structures.
The project was directed by Rangkala Glass Design, a renowned company based in Surat-Gujarat, which offers special combinations of materials to its customers. Rangkala Glass Design is known for its high quality glass products, processed with selected raw materials. Quality, being their top priority, is guaranteed at every stage through strict controls.
Rangkala Glass Design has chosen STRATO® EVA Extra Clear to guarantee a high level of security, isolation and transparency at the main entrance of DREAM City. The phase preceding the installation of the laminated glass with STRATO® EVA Extra Chiaro involved the glass lamination process. Rangkala Glass Design Company used a TK Lamijiet-04 furnace to obtain high-quality laminated glass.
TK Lamijet-04 250-450 is a Pro version of the TK Lamijet line, with 4 independent work surfaces and technology of forced cooling, which combines times of shorter processing times in relation to high production volumes. The ideal partner for large projects such as DREAM City.
During the lamination process the reflective glass coating did not undergo any changes or distortions, maintaining the high characteristics required for this lamination project. The result was a high quality batch in line with the high expectations for DREAM City.
