The story of Helios Italquartz has its roots way back in 1940, when the founder Armando Giro took over Actinia, a company specialized in the production of infrared and ultraviolet lamps. Since then, the vicissitudes of the company have led the business to evolve, changing its name and undergoing mergers, but always maintaining the same dedication to excellent quality standards.
Today, the Helios Quartz group, with its offices in Cambiago (MI), Novazzano (Switzerland) and representative offices in America and Asia, has become one of the main international points of reference for the production of IR and UV lamps in quartz glass that have various applications in different markets, including glass, plastic, rubber, textiles as well as research equipment for universities. Furthermore, Helios Italquartz, precisely to meet the needs of different industrial sectors, has been producing and marketing complete systems for about ten years, that is, infrared lamps inserted inside customized modules according to the specific needs of customers and their applications, manageable thanks to electrical panels and control systems, also supplied by the company.
The incredible know-how accumulated over these 85 years has allowed Helios Italquartz to be extremely flexible and able to respond to the demands of different markets, despite the medium-small size of the company.
Helios Italquartz offers a wide range of products for the glass sector:
- Quartz IR Lamps: short, medium and fast wavelength, in single or double tube with or without gold reflector;
- IR Modules: complete infrared solutions, designed and customized according to customer needs, and ready to be integrated into machines and production lines;
- UV curing equipment: High and medium pressure UV lamps for drying reactive screen printing, inks, paints, coatings and adhesives for the decoration and furniture sector;
- Tin detector: UV black light devices that can detect whether the tin side or the air side of float glass is present even in high brightness conditions. This type of detection is crucial before processes such as lamination, mirroring and screen printing. The company offers two types of devices: – Manwood 25-N: manual equipment – Automatic glass tin side detector: automatic version of this device. It can be fixed directly on the glass conveyor line, before the production process, to check each piece of glass.
