Venice hosts the Glass to Glass exhibition, presents contemporary glass in design and art
Venice is a magical city, known all over the world for the master craftsmen who have been working glass for hundreds of years.
On the occasion of the 17th edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Berengo Foundation and WonderGlass have created GLASS TO GLASS, an exhibition where the world of contemporary art and the world of avant-garde design meet through glass.
Glass to Glass, is set up in two exceptional spaces: at the Berengo's Art Space Foundation in Murano, in a traditional glass furnace and at the Berengo Collection, inside one of the oldest pharmacies in the city of Venice, dating back to the early 700th century. .
Murano glass is the absolute protagonist of this exhibition running until 21 November: a ductile material with a thousand facets, it has been used by international artists and designers of the caliber of nendo, Maarten Baas, John Pawson and Sam Baron, whose works are exhibited in this particular exhibition.
The choice of two historic locations further enhances the innovative proposal of Glass to Glass, thanks to which contemporary art and avant-garde design meet through the use of glass.
