Platinum Glass is a precious optical glass and owes its name to the production process.
The mixture of oxides that makes up the glass is melted in special ovens for precision optics and refined through a column of pure Platinum, so as to obtain a glass lens free of any impurities.
Platinum Glass lenses guarantee:
better color rendering and contrasts thanks to the presence of some minerals, called rare earths, which can only be added in fusion to glass;
maximum UV protection, protecting up to 400 nm (UV400), well above standards;
