Founded in 1928 in Spain, Cricursa began operating in the curved glass sector. Indeed, this is precisely the meaning of its name: Cristales Curvados. Today, Ferran Figuerola and Alex Sasplúgas, the grandchildren of the two founders, are in charge of the management of the company, which boasts a production plant of more than 12.000 square meters and is the protagonist in the most significant architectural works in the world.
For Cricursa, the most important product has always been curved glass, but the company has made numerous evolutions over the years: from glass for furniture, to lamps, to glass for cars, to great architectural works. However, what remains a guiding principle for the company is the importance of maintaining know-how in a context characterized by numerous processes for which there are no machines. Thanks to this approach, the company has become a pioneer in special products.The idea of designing a new machine was born when Cricursa realized the importance of large dimensions also in the curved glass sector, hence the initiative to create a machine capable of processing the edge of large slabs.
