SKILL GLASS is an Italian company specialized in the design and production of high-tech vertical CNC machines for flat glass processing. The standard dimensions of the machines allow easy processing of glass sheets even longer than 6 metres and up to 3,3 metres high. Thanks to special software with dedicated functions and advantageous mechanical solutions, they are extremely high-performance, precise and quick to use. The flagship of our range is the ED 101, a vertical CNC machine capable of performing multiple operations on flat glass, combining in a single system all the vertical drilling and milling technologies with all the edge processing, grinding, arrissing and polishing. ED 101 uses 150 mm diameter diamond wheels on flat and shaped glass, even if laminated or treated. Polishing can be performed both on large surfaces with 150 mm diameter wheels, and on small inserts with smaller 30 or 50 mm diameter wheels. Thanks to the two equivalent and opposing heads (THT technology), grinding, polishing and drilling/milling functions are performed at maximum speed, always ensuring excellent quality and precision, while countersinking operations can be performed by both heads with single diamond tools or accessories mounted on diamond tips. DRILL 1600FF is a 5-axis numerically controlled vertical drilling machine for drilling, inserting and countersinking flat glass sheets with a thickness between 3 and 20 mm. The machine is composed of five interpolated axes, XYVZW, and two electrospindles (THT technology): the latter, mounted one in front of the other, allow working with an opposite counterpoint for perfect glass drilling. Milling with this machine is a quick and easy operation and, thanks to multiple tools, it is possible to mill and grind an insert in a few seconds. Other important models are: • MILL 1600 numerically controlled vertical drilling/milling machine, with single head positioned in the front and most protected part of the machining cabin. Extremely practical and fast model for drilling and milling flat glass: MILLING: this operation is quick and simple and, thanks to multiple tools, the machine is able to mill and grind an insert in a few seconds.
