"During the emergency - said Graziano Marcovecchio - our sector, in some cases heavily affected by the consequences of the lockdown, has been able to react, first of all by safeguarding its people by guaranteeing safe working conditions and, then, by ensuring the production system its products with reliability and quality ever".
Precisely to guarantee safety and ensure the safe resumption of production activity, a National Program Agreement for the adoption of preventive anti-contagion measures in the workplaces of glass companies.
Work
In 2020 it was renewed the employment contract for the glass sector: the first collective agreement to be renewed after the lockdown. "All this - he has declared Massimo Novello, vice president for trade union relations of Assovetro - reiterated once again the importance we attribute to good trade union relations: our factories are our people and the contract, renewed at a time of great uncertainty, represents a solid anchor for building recovery ”.
Environment
THE Italy is confirmed as one of the most virtuous countries in Europe in terms oftechnology: in 2019 it exceeded 77,3% of recycling of glass containers (in twenty years the quantities recycled have doubled: it was 38,8% in 1998) and the sector, more than others, has distinguished itself in terms of energy efficiency and on the circularity front.
