“Air”, the glass house overlooking the cliff

    An exemplary and one-of-a-kind design

The Ukrainian design studio Yakusha Design has designed an amazing glass house: it's called “Air” and is poised between land and sea.

The house, which for the moment is only a concept, measures 48 square meters and develops around a vertical concrete pillar, which allows the house to remain suspended on the cliffs and simultaneously acts as a central column for services. “The central element support takes up little interior space, at the same time it includes most of the engineering communications and maximizes the view outside the window,” explain the designers.

An architecture that embodies the desire for freedom and contact with nature

The house ensures a 360 ° view of the surrounding landscape thanks to the completely glass walls. It is a glass that allows the transparency adjustment, to look outside without being seen inside, and it is ad high energy performance, to let in the light, guarantee winter thermal insulation and shielding from summer sunlight.

Inside, the house is furnished with only the bare essentials: a sofa, a bed, a bathroom, a hob and a counter.
