The realization is a truly original way to recycle glass, avoiding it becoming useless waste.
The shed was built from the idea of Richard Pim - extravagant English hydrogeologist over 75 already famous for having built by himself the largest cuckoo clock in the world and completely water.
The structure is a real one eco-shed whose dome is entirely made with glass bottles set between crossed arches.
The glass bottles used were 5000 bottles, these reflect the sunlight at any time of the day, giving life to truly surprising plays of colors and lights.
The shed is long 5 meters and 3 meters high. It consists of a supporting structure with arches in reinforced concrete that the sprightly inventor made with his own hands.
Among the 4 quadrants created by the arches, Mr. Pim managed to set the necks of thousands of glass bottles recovered here and there giving the structure a dome shape completely vitrea really fascinating.
The light filtered by the bottles is reflected directly in the refuge and on the nearby natural pool, creating a unique multicolor show. Especially at night, the greenish reflections create suggestive plays of light.
The house with the recycled glass bottles is part of the famous complex of Westonbury Mill Water Gardens, a few kilometers from Pembridge e Kington (England). This is the private garden that Richard Pim for some years it has been open to the public to show the world its unusual collection of works built on the theme of water.
