A glass palace as an art canvas: Catania's street art in Lugano

At the southern entrance to the city of Lugano a glass palace stands out, beautifully decorated with a work of street art, designed by the Swiss-Italian visual artist Yuri Catania.
Promoted by Credinvest Bank, the initiative fuses art, technology and innovation and transforms the facades of the building on via G. Cattori into a surprising visual experience.

A dialogue on innovation between man and nature

Catania, known for his ability to intertwine human and natural themes with technological progress, has created a glass creation that reflects the values of Credinvest: evolution and respect for the environment. At the centre of the work stands out Astro Credy, an imposing female figure that communicates strength and elegance, around which gravitates a constellation of peonies, camellias and dahlias, moving towards the Moon. This symbolic journey embodies the daily challenges and the human ability to overcome them.

The colors of the flowers, from vibrant red to delicate pink, evoke energy and harmony, transmitting a message of hope and collaboration. The fusion between the charm of nature and the power of technology makes the work a tribute to the human capacity to create beauty, even in the most complex situations.

Technology and sustainability at the service of art

The realization of the project on glass is made possible thanks to the use of a material design, Named Nano-tack. This technological solution uses nano-suction cups to fix the work without the use of glue, ensuring a sustainable and safe application.
The Catania intervention covers a total surface area of 550 m², distributed across three facades of the building and including an internal room transformed into an artistic garden.
Furthermore, thanks to the ArtiVive app, visitors can live an immersive experience, simply by framing the building with their smartphone.

The work on glass, inaugurated on Wednesday 22 January, attests to the ability of contemporary art to integrate with architecture and technology, offering an innovative way of conceiving urban spaces. Discover it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DE3HPyZMoHo/
