On the afternoon of Tuesday 2 February 2021 the presentation event took place in Webinar mode of the XXII edition of VITRUM "MEET VITRUM 2021: WHERE GLASS INDUSTRY COMES ALIVE ", with remote participation of about 70 Italian journalists, sector associations and exhibitors ed esters.
The occasion was precious to illustrate the features and innovations planned for the XXII edition of VITRUM, the International Exhibition specialized in machinery, equipment and systems for flat and hollow glass, glass and transformed products for industry, which will be hosted from 5 to 8 October in the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center.
To do the honors of the house Eng. Dino Zandonella Necca, the President of VITRUM, assisted by the Director Fabrizio Cattaneo.
Among the many innovations, the following were presented:
- the new tariff system, which rewards the size of the stands and encourages exhibitors to bring the technologies to the fair,
-the project "GLASS IS”, thematic path that supports and integrates the now established one of Specialized, to highlight the qualities that the end user finds in the glass product, thus also enhancing the technologies that made it feasible,
- the new editorial portal VITRUM Life, where news from exhibitors and the world of glass, continuously updated, find space, e
-the Glass Week, the collateral initiative to the Fair that will put glass at the center of Milan's attention, involving operators, citizens and tourists with themed exhibitions and events.
During the Webinar, the testimonies of the Exhibitors had space with the interventions of the Engineer Raphaël Prati, Group Marketing & Communications Director of Biesse SpA, and of Dr. Barbara Antonini, Managing Director of Antonini Srl who, with their precious experience, provided their point of view on the prospects of the Fair and the sector, in the light of current conditions.
As well as Dr. Caterina Consales, Wealth Advisor of Banca Mediolanum, the banking institution that has developed a fruitful collaboration relationship with GIMAV and who sees in VITRUM an important opportunity to enhance and extend the existing partnership.
Ample space, finally, for the questions of Italian and international exhibitors and journalists present who, while on the one hand they did not fail to express their concerns about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the event, on the other hand they expressed even more great support and support for the project VITRUM and Glass Week.
“We have bet on the possibility of offering our Exhibitors and Visitors a show in presence and full of new ones events and initiatives; we are convinced that in October there will be the conditions to be able to achieve it and we will work because the edition of VITRUM 2021 is the best possible - commented the Director VITRUM Fabrizio Cattaneo - “We know well that you cannot change a Fair in a single edition, even less when the surrounding conditions they are still heavily affected by the pandemic; however, the goal we have set ourselves is to take as many steps as possible possible in the right direction to make the new direction evident right away ".
"We must accept that this type of event is now essential" - commented the President Zandonella Necca referring to the innovative format in which the presentation of VITRUM 2021 - "In a such a particular moment, it allowed us to eliminate spatial barriers and limitations on travel, to hear ourselves all united, albeit at a distance, in a heterogeneous group but united by the passion for their sector, of which everyone has the duty, as well as the desire, to hold up the name and promote importance. This mode will remain an instrument with enormous potential, which will not replace but certainly will have to integrate the events that in the future, that we all hope next, we will return to play in attendance. Also VITRUM can not be an exception, so we are working on a digital twin of the next one edition".
